KNIFE AND GARMENT

The "Scuola della gallina" is one of the elements that compose "Cielo e Meraviglia". It included the use of different garments in defensive strategies.

The use of garment can be summaridez in two tactics: the use of garmet and the use of garment' s opponent.

In the use of garment in knife fighting, usually several schools of Italy use the arm secured with the garment in the front guard, holding the armed hand with the knife behind and hidden. Other italian schools use the front guard with the knife threatening the opponent, keeping the protected arm behind and at the knife's top. Moreover, other schools keep the garment on the shoulder and keeping the knife pointing the opponent, so to use the cloth to generate disturbing actions while fencing with the knife.

In "Cielo e Meraviglia" tradition method is based on wrapping half of the forearm, covering entirely the hand, mainteining mobility and weapon' s grip, in a specific strategy to apply more tactics and techniques appropriate with the situation.

The use of opponent's clothing is a method based on grabbing parts of the opponent' s clothes, use them in the execution of the fencing actions and used to close "dead spaces".
